Hudson Gray Week 9- Off to an Incredible Start

 Off To An Incredible Start

The Indiana Pacers have started this season with a 10-6 record! If you follow basketball, you are aware that the Pacers were projected to be one of the worst teams in the NBA. Although it is early in the season, the Pacers have looked great and I am really excited for the rest of the season. About half way through last season, the Pacers made some significant changes to their roster. This team was on its way to rebuilding, but who knew that it would only take a couple trades? Last February, the Pacers traded their two-time all star player to the kings for a generational talent. Everyone was talking about how good this trade was for the pacers, and although at the time I believed this, it is now confirmed. This young talent's name is Tyrese Haliburton. He is a 3rd year player from Iowa State and was the 12th pick in the draft by the kings. While the kings are known to waste talent, no one believed they would ever trade Haliburton, especially at this point in his career. As a fan, it is so fun and exciting watching him play with the way he passes the ball and can score. I am hoping to see Tyrese Haliburton make his first all star team this year, and if he keeps up this play, he definitely will.

In this past NBA draft, the Pacers had the 6th overall pick. They selected a guard out of Arizona named Benedict Mathurin. So far Mathurin has shown his scoring ability and is one of the best, if not the best, rookie in the NBA. On top of both Mathurin and Haliburton, other players like Myles Turner and Buddy Hield are having outstanding seasons as well. I am optimistic about this season and it feels great being a fan of such a fun, young, and exciting team right now. Do any of you watch basketball? And if so, who is your favorite team?

  1. I hate to break it to you but the Heat are the best team in the league. They are having a little difficulty without Butler but once hes back its over. Tyrese cant carry the team on his own forever.
