Hudson Gray Week 8- A Day of Thanks
A Day of Thanks
I am very much looking forward to Thanksgiving break. This break is always really good because it is a reminder that the first semester is almost over and winter break is just around the corner. Although I am not going away and don't have any exciting plans for thanksgiving, I am very much looking forward to hanging out with my brothers who I don't get to see much. Both of my brothers will be here for at least a week which is very exciting. I didn’t expect for Cooper, my oldest brother, to come home for that long anymore since he is in full on work mode in New York City. I wish we had a full week off like most other schools but during the days off I plan to spend time with family and friends, play lots of golf, and go to the beach. This is my second Thanksgiving in Florida, and it is automatically better here because my grandparents live close. The only sad part of this break will be that last year it was the day after thanksgiving when we had to put one of my dogs down. I am going to have to do my best to not think about this as it was a very heartbreaking time.
Now let's talk about Thanksgiving dinner. My favorite food to eat on this night is the sweet potatoes with marshmallows. I eat any kind of meat, so yes I do like turkey. I’m not sure whether I prefer light or dark meat but that is something I have been trying to figure out for the past couple of years on thanksgiving. Now let me ask you: What is your favorite food to eat on thanksgiving?
Sweet potatoes is one thing- but with marshmallows?! I guess I cant hate it until I try it. My favorite Thanksgiving food is the turkey because its so iconic and gets me into the holiday spirit.
ReplyDeleteI love thanksgiving mostly for the food to be honest. A good succulent turkey is all I need. Also the marshmallow sweet potatoes is heavenly. I hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving!
