Ava Week 9 - The Best Thanksgiving Foods
I love Thanksgiving for one reason: the amazing food. Yes, there's also giving thanks and all that, but let's admit, the food is the best part. Every Thanksgiving I eat until I'm full, and then I eat some more. I'm very much looking forward to eating all the foods only accessible on this day that comes only once a year. This is my rating of Thanksgiving foods from least great to greatest.
1. Cranberry Sauce
I don't know why people like cranberry sauce so much??? I try it every year to give it another chance and every time I come to the same conclusion: cranberry sauce is just bad.
2. Turkey
I know, know, how could the most popular item on the Thanksgiving table be my least favorite? Well, I think turkey is totally overhyped. First of all, it's much dryer compared to other meats such as chicken or brisket. Second of all, turkey just tastes pretty bland in my opinion. Overall, turkey is mid. However, I still love a good turkey, gravy, and stuffing combo.
3. Mashed Potatoes
You cannot go wrong with some creamy mashed potatoes. They go with everything and tie your meal together. Mashed potatoes, however, wish they could be as good as sweet potatoes.
4. Sweet Potato Casserole
I have a sweet tooth, so it is no surprise I love the mashed sweet potatoes with the gooey marshmallows on top. It tastes so delicious together, and it's a unique recipe only to be had on Thanksgiving.
5. Rolls
I don't know why, but the best rolls I have are always on Thanksgiving. On this day, the bread is especially soft, buttery, and smells like heaven. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
6. Pumpkin Pie
I absolutely love this dessert and find it way better than apple pie. Especially when there is some whipped cream on top. It's delicious and gives such a festive aesthetic.
7. Stuffing
Last, but not least, comes my favorite Thanksgiving food: stuffing. It's plain and simple: stuffing is so yummy. I always get the most excited for this food.
I'm curious to hear your take on the best Thanksgiving foods. Do you agree with my rating, or would you make a lot of changes? Have an amazing Thanksgiving!
This ranking is the best ever. It's just objectively correct, although I would put bread rolls at the highest ranking.
ReplyDeleteStuffing is also my favorite Thanksgiving food too! I wonder why it is not a dish made year-round.
ReplyDeleteI too enjoy stuffing during my Thanksgiving meal. It is just the best! Sometimes I cant control myself and eat way too much of it.
ReplyDeleteI like your rankings a lot! I was concerned by the order of the pictures until I read that it was from least to best. I don't really like or eat stuffing but I can understand why it is rated so high. I personally think that mashed potatoes should be ranked higher and are not just "wish[ing] they could be as good as sweet potatoes."
