Why You Should See Don't Worry Darling

If you are a fan of psychological thrillers, it is imperative that you watch Don’t Worry Darling. Since I love psychological thrillers and am a huge fan of Harry Styles (who stars in the movie), how could I not watch the film? I was so eager, in fact, that I went to see it in the theaters during Hurricane Ian. Although the ride there was scary, the movie was very much worth the trip.

Don’t Worry Darling will have you wondering the whole time, “What exactly is going on?” It is about a couple living in an experimental, close-knit 50s’ town in which all the men are working on a top-secret project. The main character, Alice (Florence Pugh), begins to feel there is something sketchy about the town and questions what the men are really working on. The end of the movie successfully blew my mind. I was shocked, and also very scared, by the crazy twist at the end, as a psychological thriller should rightfully do. The concept of the movie, which you will find out once you watch it, is very interesting to me, but also gives me the creeps. However, keep in mind this movie is rated R (the movie theater almost didn’t let me in the second time I went to see it). If you don’t mind seeing some adult-level scenes, this film is definitely worth a watch.

A few of my favorite psychological thrillers include Get Out, Shutter Island, and Parasite. Get Out is definitely the most terrifying, while Shutter Island had me shocked BOTH times I watched it. Parasite is both dramatic and funny, if you’re looking for some comedic relief. Do you like these types of movies, and if so, which is your favorite?

    I love harry Styles' music, but I have never thought of him as an actor. I think this would be a very interesting watch and I plan on watching it.

    Thrillers such as Get Out are some of my favorite movies of all time so that coupled with the fact that Harry styles is part of the main cast really makes me want to see this movie. Styles is among my favorite music artists so this just seems like a must watch. Thank you for the recommendation!

Last year and this summer I had the privilege of participating in the Jewish teen choir named Hazamir. Hazamir is an international singing group, with its chapters primarily located in the United States and Israel. In order to participate in Hazamir, one must be able to sing but the ability to sight-read is not necessary. Its music and events have led me to a larger repertoire, increased understanding of music, and more friends. I am so excited to continue singing in Hazamir this year too! Despite Hazamir’s amazing offerings, the Boca Raton Chapter is too small and needs more numbers.  Hazamir has almost weekly meetings where participants practice and learn the provided music. These practices typically last 2 hours and are very casual and fun! Last year, I became very close to the other members of my chapter through the songs we learned. Aaron Mibab 6: Recycling at Donna Klein

     Ever since I was little, I remember my father taking out the recycling or doing activities relating to recycling. He would remove the tabs from coke cans and collect them; I remember he had a large bag or two where the metal tabs stayed. I also remember “helping” him take apart boxes so more could fit into the recycling bins. Recycling was important to him because it is taking care of the environment and world that his children will inherit.
