Rebecca Week 5 - BurgerFi
My BurgerFi obsession started as a joke. It’s not a joke anymore. My friends and I got lunch at the location near school, then read the awful yelp reviews, inspiring me to write this blog.
We went to the fast-food restaurant and ordered at the kiosks. The addition of kiosks in our local BurgerFi is a huge bonus; you don’t have to talk to the cashier, there’s no risk of misunderstanding, and you can easily see all the menu options. Thankfully, there was no line to make us suffer even though it was right around 12:30. It wasn’t empty, but the orders were managed well. There was less wait for our burgers than for Eva’s salad from next door.
The service was great, with one of the employees, Luis, helping Milo with his dairy allergy. He told us about the kitchen’s organization and explained that he would clean up the vegan area to make Milo’s burger. Additionally, the Beyond burger is a vegetarian, kosher alternative to other meat burgers. Their oreo milkshake is the best milkshake in existence, making the vegetarian burgers doubly significant. As a group with a surprising amount of dietary restrictions, BurgerFi is a great option. Reading the reviews, we saw a lot of complaints about the wait time and staff members. Honestly, the wait time is a little excessive but not extremely terrible. The reviews sound more comical than truly angry. One person even started off with, “holy cheeseburgers, this place is bad.” I agree that there are other better BurgerFi locations, but this one isn’t terrible!
We got a taste for the reviews and had to keep reading. The writing style and grammatical/spelling mistakes people make when writing these reviews adds to the character. They range from either huge supporters of the restaurant and its chain to people revolted by its existence. I think I speak for my friends and I when I say, we are now supporters of this BurgerFi. Do you have any restaurants or stores you frequent?

BurgerFi confounds me. I'm glad you went there. I was half convinced that it was a front for a mafia gang with the worst burgers.
ReplyDeleteI loved reading through the BurgerFi comments, they were so funny! I agree that this location isn't as terrible as all the reviews make it seem. I am a regular at Ben's Deli, but I also work there and get a huge discount.
ReplyDeleteThis Burgerfi is terrible. I do NOT recommend it!!! The screens to order barely work and the staff are rude. My fries are always cold.
