Milo Blog Post 4: Why Endermen are the Best Minecraft Mob, Don't Try and Argue.

Why Enderman Are the Best Minecraft Mob, Don’t Try and Argue.

In Minecraft, one of my favorite parts of the game is playing in survival mode. I admire creative players who can build enormous houses and castles by hand, but personally, I just love doing everything myself. Needing to make food and complete objectives is really what makes the game fun. Minecraft’s originality comes from its sandbox format, letting the players pick when they want to complete tasks instead of preventing them from moving on if they don’t complete a certain one. This allows for endless versions of gameplay within Minecraft.

One downside of playing in survival mode is the monsters that spawn at night. It creates a challenge for the player if they don’t sleep through the night, they have to face the monsters that appear. Monsters range from the undead, like skeletons and zombies (and different variants of them, like husks and strays), and other monsters, like spiders and creepers. My favorite monster in the game isn’t any of these, though; it’s actually a much rarer one.

The enderman spawns most commonly in another dimension of the game called “The End” but can also appear in the overworld. Sometimes players will kill enderman to get what they drop, ender pearls, and helpful tools in the game to help you teleport around. Unlike most other monsters, they aren’t hostile until you either attack them first or look at them. I think if everyone would just give endermen a little space, we’d all get along great, but since the thick-brained people who play Minecraft don't understand personal boundaries, we can’t really have that, can we? Along with being tall, dark, and handsome, endermen are gentle and sweet and are the best “hostile” mob in Minecraft.
