Hudson Gray Week 3: Sunday Tie
This past Sunday was the first NFL Sunday of the season. I was so excited for this day ever since the colts lost their last game, last season. The Indianapolis Colts have always been my favorite team because my dad grew up in Indiana and his whole side of the family lives there. The Colts have had ups and downs but they are known for being consistent. The way last season ended was definitely a heart breaker because if you watch football you know the Colts lost to the worst team in the league to miss the playoffs. Being a fan of the Colts has been a roller coaster the past couple of years. This is especially because they have had five different quarterbacks in the last five seasons. In almost all circumstances, you need a great quarterback to have a successful season. This past offseason the Colts acquired Matt Ryan who is a former MVP. This is one of the reasons I’m so excited for this season. However, after playing one of the worst teams in the NFL yesterday, the Colts managed to almost lose and the game ended in a tie. The game started off going well for the Colts but the 2nd and 3rd quarter were brutal to watch. It hurt to watch when Matt Ryan threw an interception and fumbled the ball. However, the Colts turned it around in the 4th quarter and ended up tying the game forcing it to go into overtime. In overtime, the Colts kicker missed a field goal to win the game. This was so hard to watch and it frustrated me a lot since it wasn’t a far field goal. After the game I had to look at the bright side in that they didn’t lose. The Colts are now tied for the lead in the division so in the end, it wasn’t that bad. Who are your favorite football teams or sports teams?
