Ava Week 3 - My College Trip Adventure

My College Trip Adventure

This Tuesday and Wednesday, I got the amazing opportunity to go visit the University of Florida and Florida State University with my friends and classmates. Before this trip, I had hardly given these colleges much thought, as I was mostly just focused on one school: the University of Miami. This is because my sister goes there and after my first time visiting the school, I fell in love with it. Also, my sister's fun college stories do sound appealing. But as of this week, I got to widen my horizon of college ideas. Both schools seem like amazing choices to me if I am able to get in. But they are both special in their own way. UF, for example, is a top five school for giving excellent education to its students, who tend to find jobs more quickly after graduating. FSU is also an amazing school for its top-notch education, as well as its beautiful campus of brick walls and weeping willows. However, these colleges are not easy to get into, which is why this trip was a bit of a wake-up call for me. I will admit, it has been a little hard for me to get out of the summer zone and into the it's Junior year, you need to work hard zone. I now have more of a push to work my hardest this year. Even so, it's additionally important to me that I maintain a good social life this year. The trip helped me with this too, as I felt like it allowed me to bond with my classmates. Most importantly, this trip provided me with more goals for my future. Have you given any thought to what college you want to go to?
